Contractile cells

Generally there are always three contractile cell in the body,
1.Cardiac cell
2.Smooth muscle cell
3.Skeletal muscle cell
Its good to know that there actually more than those three!

<< Myoepithelial cell

• Fibroblast muscular cell
• Masengial cell

Didnt expect these cells have their own contractile unit for themselves tho'... as actin do presence in the myoepithelium too, which helps them to expell out their exocrine secretion.Can be found in sweat gland, mammary gland etc. well, i usually tought only smooth muscle helps in the expulsion here....

Patient is Dayang X, malay, 38 years old, mother of 10 children. This is her 12th pregnancy where her last pregnancy was the year before (2006). Noted here that she is an elderly with grandmultipara, with history of 8 weeks-threatened abortion in her previous pregnancy with no known cause. Throughout her pregnancy, she suffers mild anaemia and low weight gain but otherwise her pregnancy was normal. Her delivery was a successful normal vaginal delivery and her baby condition is normal...
